Aidan McDonnell joint owner in the business recognised a need within the hospitality sector for a level of stock taking that would have a real impact on profitability when he started stock taking in 1999.
Aidan teamed up with Ollie McDonnell in 2002 and with their engineering backgrounds, they designed and developed additional measuring equipment and systems that brought a whole new dimension to the bar stocktake process.
Bar Stock Take Innovation
They designed a unique keg measuring device and co-developed customised software with ARCsoft. Bringing the new tools to the existing scanners and spirit measures meant that a new and highly sophisticated stock taking system was now available to the hospitality sector.
Synergy Stocktaking began trading as Advanced Bar services from 2002. The business has grown steadily at a rate of 20 percent every year and the team of professionals has grown to 15 people.
